Live & Local Poetry

Common Grounds Coffee House has been continuously hosting the popular Lexington writing group Poezia since its inception. The workshops are conducted by Poezia founder and leader Katerina Stoykova-Klemer (www.katerinaklemer.com), the author of the bilingual book, “The Air around the Butterfly / Въздухът около пеперудата,” and the English language chapbook, “The Most.”

The group hosts poetry readings and open mics and is an active part of the cultural life of Lexington and the surrounding areas.

If you're interested in other Poezia readings, Poezia will be involved with a reading called "Stars with Accents" on October 8, 7-10pm at the Carnegie Center, and hosted by WRFL's Accents radio show as part of the weekend-long Boomslang festival. 

It is encouraged you bring something with you to read and someone else with you to share your experience.
